CeCe Winans offers encouragement for your New Year: ‘God is big enough to handle everything’

As you celebrate and embrace the New Year, CeCe Winans, the best-selling, most-awarded female gospel artist of all time is helping you start 2021 strong with a message of faith and hope.
In a video posted on her official Facebook page, the 12-time Grammy-winner shared how the beloved Bible story of Jonah the Prophet being swallowed by a fish reveals something special and beautiful about God.
“The part that blessed me was that, as big as God is, He pays attention to all of the small details,” said the 56-year-old who is visibly glowing after welcoming her first grandson, Wyatt Thomas Phillips, on Christmas Day.
Winans noted that the biblical account says that God “prepared” the fish for Jonah. “It just shook me and reminded me, CeCe, God is big enough to handle everything big, but He’s also in the small details,” she said.
Aside from her personal reflections, the “Alabaster Box” songstress offered encouragement to her viewers, telling them, “I just want you to know that there is no devil in hell that can stop you from accomplishing what God has called you to accomplish.”
Though Jonah’s disobedience resulted in him spending an unpleasant three days in the fish’s belly, Winans pointed out that the Lord strategically allowed it, because God wanted Jonah to get back on track. He needed to fulfill his calling to preach a message of repentance and mercy to the incredibly wicked and rebellious Assyrians in Nineveh.
“God will bring whoever He has to bring to get you back in line,” Winans continued. “He loves you so much, even in our disobedience, He doesn’t change His mind about us.”

“This story just shows me the love of God, the power of God, but also the kindness of God and how He pays attention to every detail,” she said. “He will handle every detail of your life.”
