Family of Dianna Hobbs says all the love is ‘healing’ as she receives ‘stacks of cards, letters and gifts’

According to the family of women’s ministry leader, Dianna Hobbs, the healing power of love is strong as ever as the Empowering Everyday Women Ministries’ global faith community rallies around her in prayer and support.
“We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and emotional support as we sort through stacks of cards, letters and gifts for Dianna during her rest and recovery period. Love truly is healing,” said a rep in a statement on behalf of the family. “It also reminds us that all Dianna’s years of labor, sowing into others and doing good on purpose is not in vain. You don’t know how much that means to our family. It truly matters to us.”
On Tuesday, Aug. 6, Hobbs was rushed to the hospital after exhibiting troubling symptoms that began in the wee hours of the morning. She was attended to by the fast-acting emergency medical team in her hometown of Buffalo, NY and admitted to the hospital after it was confirmed that she suffered a mini stroke.
Shortly thereafter, seizures began, eventually totaling to more than 20.
“Dianna spent days in intensive care during the darkest period of our lives as a family,” said the statement. “Watching her suffer so much was devastating.”
As local and out-of-state family rushed to her bedside, the prognosis was negative, as she had lost feeling and mobility in her left side, had severely impaired speech and cognitive ability, and could not walk. Speech pathologists, neurology teams, physical and occupational therapists, and many other specialists did not have good news.
“But Jesus stepped in as only He can, and Dianna defied the odds, and astounded her entire medical team that confirmed they had never seen a turnaround like this before,” said the family. “God truly worked a miracle and we can’t wait until the time comes for her to tell the full, remarkable story!”
On Aug. 13, it was confirmed by Hobbs’ ministry team that she would be on ministry hiatus, but despite this, family maintains that “supporters and prayer warriors should be in no way worried. God our healer has already done the work and proven Himself faithful once again. She is recovering her strength day by day.”
Before the onset of the medical emergencies that blindsided everyone, in late July, Hobbs had come through a successful hysterectomy surgery to treat two common, benign conditions known as Fibroids and Adenomyosis. Later in the evening, the same day of her procedure, things took a turn for the worst. Her heart rate and blood pressure spiked, signaling dangerous complications.
She landed in the ICU where she was stabilized and released, only to be re-admitted to the intensive care unit days later.
“Her body still has to recover from the hysterectomy on top of the totally unexpected ordeal she went through,” said the rep, who revealed “The family is still praying for Dianna’s appetite to fully return to improve her strength.”
Everyone surround her is covering her in prayer and lots of love, and making her time of recovery as restful as possible. A huge part of that recovery, according to the statement, is making sure she receives “every beautiful card” and sees “every gesture of love.”

Aside from personal gifts, Hobbs’ ministry team encourages continued donations to her 501c3 nonprofit organization (EmpoweringEverydayWomen.org) that distributes free Christian resources worldwide to share the gospel, and help believers grow stronger in their faith.
The organization says all funds donated are 100 percent tax-deductible and go toward free initiatives to assist the less fortunate and win souls for the Kingdom of God.
The statement concluded by saying, “The Empowering Everyday Women faith community is a global family, and in moments like this, we see it more clearly than ever.”
