The Devil Is A Lie: Niecy Nash shares the most bizarre false prophecy she ever received

In Jeremiah 23:16, God warned against false prophets, saying, “They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.”

Well, Christian actress, Niecy Nash, can personally testify to the truth of this passage. She recently shared the most bizarre false prophecy she ever received—and it had to do with money.

“A woman knocked on my door and I said, ‘Can I help you?’” recalls the Emmy Award-nominated star and former first lady of a church. “And she said, ‘I was praying, oh I was praying, and God told me to come over here because you were gonna give me $5,000.’”

Nash, who shared the story with BET during a segment called “21 Questions with Niecy Nash,” said she simply replied, “He said what now?”

Ha! Guess it’s safe to say no money changed hands that day.

The sought-after entertainer, who is featured on EEW Magazine’s list of our Top 5 favorite Christian actresses, takes her Christian faith very seriously.

“My daily spiritual practice is to recognize God out in the world,” said Nash, who has worked in the business for over two decades. Keeping her mind on the Lord gives her courage to pursue her calling.

“You can’t be fearful in this business,” she said. “You study, you prepare and then you trust your gift.”

In a previous interview with One Church International pastor, Touré Roberts, she admonished the live audience to cultivate their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be sensitive to His voice.

“You’re going to struggle if you don’t know how to handle when God says no, because everything ain’t for you!” Nash said. “If He says no and you go anyway, I don’t want to be there. If He tells you not to go and you do it anyway, that’s sin.”

Going where God leads has worked favorably in the California native’s career and we’ve got a feeling the best is yet to come for her.
