Jessica Reedy launches new school to help students ‘discover’ their gifting

She’s a fab Christian single mama of three on a mission to help the next generation discover and utilize their unique gifts in the world.
Stellar Award-winning gospel singer, Jessica Reedy, 31, who shot to fame as a contestant on a singing competition, has expanded her ministry beyond the confines of the music industry and into the educational field.
An MLive.com interview reveals the “Better” singer has officially started her own school, The Industry Development Center, in her hometown of Saginaw, MI.
“If you do not know what your gift is, we are going to help you discover it,” said the BET “Sunday Best” alum in an appeal to potential local students to enroll in the eight-week classes that begin Oct. 7.

She said the $1,500 tuition can be covered by a Federal Pell Grant if enrollees meet the eligibility requirements. Classes are scheduled from 7-9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
EEW Magazine Online reported last year that, while Reedy was pregnant with her third child, she was involved in a serious car collision with her two-year-old in the tow. The recording artist, who had ended a previous engagement a short while before the crash, sustained bruises, a concussion, and what she described as “a temporary stuttering symptom that made it very difficult to articulate my words.”
Thankfully, everyone survived and Reedy, CEO of Purity Records, has fully bounced back, and is now more committed than ever to sowing the same seeds of knowledge into Saginaw residents that helped build her global ministry.
“Because of the mentors I had, it gave me the confidence to go out and feel that I could compete with the world,” she said. “There are more talented individuals here who do not have those opportunities. I want to build the hope.”
Reedy said her school is accredited by Life Academy, an affiliate of Arkansas Baptist College. Students will receive 12 college-transferable credits once their studies are successfully completed and will be automatically accepted into Arkansas Baptist University.
The fearless go-getter said in the caption of an Instagram post sharing news about the school, that this is a “vision God has given me to restore hope in God’s people by training them and equipping them with tools to succeed in life and in business.”
