OceanFive Records, a burgeoning independent label, has announced the signing of award-winning ministry leader and Gospel artist Dianna Hobbs, who released her latest worship single, "Don't Know Why," on September 27.

Founded by Skylar Ward, OceanFive Records is committed to empowering both emerging and established artists. Ward, an alumnus of Full Sail University with degrees in Graphic Design and Music Business, established OceanFive to offer artists independent branding, master ownership, and creative control, alongside the backing of a record label.

The company has recently expanded its scope with the launch of a Christian division, focused on the "Worship Collective" movement, which celebrates diverse voices in unified worship.

The Christian division is spearheaded by Executive VP of A&R Quinton Daniels, a veteran Christian artist, songwriter, musician, producer, and audio mixer. Daniels aims to cultivate a transformative worship movement through artist development, management, sound recordings, distribution, and other industry facets.

"It’s not just about her talents; it’s about her positivity, strengths, and courage,” Daniels said of Dianna Hobbs’ signing. “That’s what resonated with me spiritually. As an artist, your journey enhances your creativity, and Dianna is the exact definition of what a Christian Artist should look like.”

Hobbs, founder of Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, expressed her excitement about the partnership: "Joining OceanFive feels like a divine connection. Quinton Daniels and the team shares my passion for worship and dedication to independent artists. I'm humbled and honored to have found a label family in OceanFive."

The signing of Hobbs aligns with OceanFive's mission to amplify impactful worship music globally through its Christian division. As Hobbs works on forthcoming music, she welcomes the support of the OceanFive team. "Quinton and the team's guidance, encouragement, and shared Kingdom mission are a blessing. I eagerly anticipate how God will use our partnership for His glory."

Hobbs is represented by Halo Management, led by Stellar Award-winning Gospel radio announcer Melanie Pratt. Her latest single, "Don't Know Why," is available now on all major music platforms.
