Congratulations are in order for Ayesha Curry, 35, and her husband, NBA star Stephen Curry, 36, who have welcomed their fourth child! The couple announced the birth of their son, Caius Chai Curry, on Instagram on May 27, although he was born on May 11.

In a joint post, the Currys shared their joy: “Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!! He’s doing great, and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!” The post featured a black-and-white photo of an adult holding the newborn's tiny hand.

The famous Christian pair, who met as teenagers in their North Carolina hometown, have three other children: Riley, 11, Ryan, 8, and Canon, 5.

Ayesha, the founder of Sweet July, the magazine of her lifestyle brand of the same name, announced her pregnancy on the cover of her publication in March 2024. In the announcement article, she wrote, “For so many years, Stephen and I thought we were done. We said, ‘Three, that’s it, we’re not doing this again,’” she shared. “And then, last year, we looked at each other and agreed we wanted to do this again. For me, the decision came from always finding myself looking around and feeling like somebody was missing.”

She described the excitement of her children about the new addition, saying, "Getting to experience this through [Canon's] eyes and through Ryan and Riley’s eyes has been so cool. Their perspectives are so different, and it’s been the most exciting thing."

Ayesha shared with Sweet July readers what it was like to learn she was pregnant with her fourth child at 34, describing it as "interesting" to see how her doctor documented her pregnancy.

“Many women in their 30s and 40s are going through this for the first time, and being told you’re ‘old’ feels alarming and wild,” she said. “I think the narrative needs to be shifted a little bit.”
