Have a Blessed 2022: 5 biblical prayers to pray over your new year right now

There are biblical prayers for every issue, struggle, and circumstance in your life. As we have entered a new year, now is the time to pray the word of God.
“I firmly believe in praying Scripture,” says Dianna Hobbs, nonprofit women’s ministry leader and founder of Empowering Everyday Online Magazine who shares her own Scripture-based prayers most days of the week on her official Facebook page.
The prayer warrior and “Daily Cup of Inspiration” blogger, 45, adds that “Jeremiah 1:12 says God watches over His word to perform it, so when you pray Scripture, you give God something to work with.”
In preparation for this article, we asked Hobbs to share some of her favorite Bible verses for EEW Magazine Online readers to pray.

#2 Ask God to make your plans succeed. “And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful!” (Psalm 90:17 NLT)
#3 Request divine guidance for solid decision-making. “Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow.” (Psalms 25:4 NLT)
#4 Plead for expedited responses from Heaven in hard times. “Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.” (Psalm 102:2 NIV)
#5 Petition God to show you His favor and grace. “Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is your way with those who love your name.” (Psalm 119:132 ESV)
This is just a sample of the many prayers to incorporate into your communication with God. There is power in His word, and you can never go wrong when asking the Lord to fulfill His promises.
As Hebrews 10:23 says, “He is faithful that promised.”
