In a thank you letter to supporters, nonprofit founder Dianna Hobbs said it is “priceless to be connected to Kingdom-minded people” in her organization’s fight against hunger and efforts to help those in need.

In a Friday, Sep. 11 message posted on Empowering Everyday Women Ministries’ official website, the charitable leader, 43, discussed “the power of unifying around an important cause.”

“There is absolutely no way the team at our 501c3 nonprofit organization could feed people in the U.S. and abroad without committed donors, sponsors and partners interested in doing the work of Christ,” said the Buffalo native and first lady of City Church who launched a successful hunger drive in 2020 to assist food banks struggling to meet the rising demand for supplies due to high unemployment rates caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Known for her philanthropic work and distribution of free Christian resources worldwide through the help of partnering organizations and individual donors, Hobbs stressed that there is no way she could do it alone.

“Thank you for your amazing help this year – despite everything we are facing through this worldwide pandemic – to continue our mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the earth,” she continued while highlighting some of the things the Upstate New York ministry has been able to accomplish.

“Our feeding programs, literacy initiatives, clothing drives, grant programs and urban ministry efforts have changed countless lives for the better,” she said. “Families that wouldn’t know where their next meal was coming from, how to clothe their children, where to get free educational resources, or how to get the help they need to grow in their faith, have found a refuge thanks to you and your faithful sowing.”

The wife of 22 years and mother of four said she and her team are appreciative of the ministry milestones the organization has reached. However, she is not resting on their laurels but is looking ahead toward greater things in the future.

“There is so much work yet to be done,” she said, adding, “and we pray that you will continue to help our ministry team meet the vast needs of the hurting and broken around the world for the glory of Christ’s name.”

According to the organization’s website, Empowering Everyday Women comprises “a team of strategists that seek out creative ways to fulfill our overall mission of sharing the gospel in practical, hands-on, tangible ways with women, children, and families across the nation.”
