Last month, actress Lela Rochon’s film director husband, Antoine Fuqua, was photographed locking lips with another woman in Italy, and the story went viral.

Not wanting to get caught up in the fray, the 55-year-old, whose fame peaked in the 90s, deactivated her Instagram page. But over the weekend, she resurfaced with a simple message: “God is good.”

Rochon uploaded a gorgeous image from somewhere in the Mediterranean, where she appeared relaxed and tranquil in the idyllic setting, surrounded by nature’s greenery. She was also wearing a rock on her finger, silencing those that speculate she broke up with her spouse.

Rochon and Fuqua wed in 1999, and the couple shares two children: daughter Asia, 16, and son Brando, 15. Fuqua also has a son, Zachary, from a previous relationship.

The salacious cheating rumors began weeks ago when incriminating images of the successful film producer known for Training Day and other blockbusters, surfaced on the Internet, showing him trading smooches with Nicole Murphy, the ex-wife of comedian Eddie Murphy.

Murphy, 51, later apologized.

“Antoine and I friends. We ran into each other while we both were in Europe,” Murphy said in a statement obtained by EEW Magazine Online. “Without going into the entire situation, I want to apologize to my family, and to Lela and the Fuqua family for what transpired.”

In the mid-90s, the dark-haired beauty’s career was on fire. She got her big industry break when she was cast alongside Whitney Houston in the film adaptation of Terry McMillan’s book, Waiting to Exhale, where she played Robin, a businesswoman on the lookout for Mr. Right.

After Rochon married her real-life Mr. Right and had children, her focus shifted away from her career and more toward her family. Now, she is back in the spotlight, but unfortunately, not for her acting.

Murphy, who says she is remorseful over her actions, added to her statement, “It was not my intention to be in this situation. I do not condone women kissing or interacting in any way inappropriately with a married man. I too was once married and I would never intentionally undermine another woman, despite what has been written.”

Neither Fuqua nor Rochon made a statement of their own.
