Fun, Christian couple Steph and Ayesha Curry enter the game show space with 'About Last Night' on HBO Max

No two couples are alike. And few couples know each other as well as Steph and Ayesha Curry do.
That’s something the 10-years-married Christian couple discovered about their relationship as hosts of their new HBO Max game show, “About Last Night,” which debuted Thursday.
In each episode, the NBA player and his chef wife invite three celebrity couples to accompany them on an “exclusive date night.” While together, they play uncensored relationship trivia and games to compete to see who really knows their partners best.

“I think we learned just how similar relationships are,” The Full Plate cookbook author, Ayesha Curry, 32, said in an NBC interview. “It was nice to have those moments where you think you’re doing something wrong or, like, something’s weird about yourselves and everybody’s like, ‘No, we do that, too.’ It was also really cool to have the reassurance that we know each other really well.”
“That is true,” Golden State Warriors baller Steph Curry, 33, added.

The high-profile pair said they were interested in the game show world because it has been a longtime dream to collaborate on a project. The two were inspired by the ’70s game show “TattleTales,” where stars and their spouses answered questions about each other and won cash prizes for members of the studio audience.
“It was just so lighthearted, fun and funny and felt like a big date night,” Ayesha Curry said.
The entrepreneurial duo pitched a reboot of the show with Fremantle, creators of the original. HBO Max greenlit it, and what resulted is “About Last Night,” a fun, diverse, modern spin on a classic game show.

It’s no surprise that the big-hearted Currys who are always on the lookout for ways to do good added a component where participants compete for donations to the charities of their choosing. Though the Currys are the game show hosts, there is a bonus round segment where they are given the chance to compete with the couples for an additional donation to the charity selected by the winners.
Questions on the show range from hilarious to awkward which was done deliberately. For any nervous guests, alcohol is available to calm their nerves.
Be forewarned. It gets spicy.

“He always has an erection,” Ginnifer Goodwin says of husband and fellow actor Josh Dallas.
Other celebrity couples on the show are: Tituss Burgess and Pablo Salinas, Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott, Terry Crews and Rebecca King-Crews, and Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne.
The Currys, who love fresh challenges, said it was a total blast to get outside their typical comfort zones and take on something new together. They also loved extending invitations to friends as well as couples they don’t know quite as well.

“I learned how great of a host she is,” Steph Curry said, complimenting Ayesha. “She was nervous and anxious about filling that role, but she made everyone feel comfortable, right at home. I had the easy job of bringing some fun and comedy, obviously pouring some drinks.”
Ayesha Curry also made sure the questions were “juicy and spicy enough but relatable and approachable for every couple,” Steph Curry added.
“Hopefully everybody loves it.”
