Adrienne Houghton (née Bailon), who wed Israel Houghton—the worship leader that divorced his wife of 20 years because of his own infidelity—calls men who cheat on their wives “cowardly.”

The 35-year-old co-host of The Real shared her thoughts on her daytime talk show while discussing billionaire Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos’s much buzzed about cheating scandal.

When it comes to stepping out on a spouse, Adrienne told The Real audience, “I think [for] a lot of people it’s a very cowardly move, because you’re like, ‘I’ll keep this here,’” alluding to a married person’s choice to stay in the marriage, while deciding, “I’ll go do this on the side.”

The former Cheetah Girls star then added, “If you’re just unhappy, leave,” and “don’t just leave. You have to actually get divorced, finish that, and then start something new completely.”

That’s what her man did.

The six-time Grammy-winner and former Lakewood church worship pastor, married Adrienne in a gorgeous ceremony in Paris in 2016. They tied the knot months after he publicly announced he had ended his marriage to Meleasa Houghton.

Israel admitted that he had “failed and sinned” in his marriage by carrying on a longtime affair with a mistress, DeVawn Moreno. While married, the musician also fathered two children with DeVawn named Kingston and Khristian.

In a statement made to Christian Post, Israel’s reps confirmed, "Mr. Houghton has and continues to provide financial support for the children.”

Jeannie Mai, a recently divorced co-host of The Real, expressed some very strong thoughts about unfaithful spouses.

“For me, when it comes to a cheating man, to me, it is the most deplorable thing you could possibly do in your human nature,” she said, “because it checks all of the boxes: deceit, dishonesty, betrayal of your vows.”

Adrienne then interjected that she was “glad” that Jeff and his wife MacKenzie Bezos were splitting up after 25 years.

Why?

Because, she said, at least he “doesn’t have to cheat anymore.”

The business mogul who is currently a hot topic around the world, sits at the top of most lists of the world’s wealthiest people, with a fortune hovering around $137 billion. His now ex-wife, a 48-year-old novelist, stands to claim a large chunk of that fortune—potentially up to half.

“You deserve to pay up partner,” Jeannie said, while Adrienne added, “I think if they didn’t want to be together, I get that. I just think there’s a different way to go about things.”

Like not cheating in the first place.
