Empowering Everyday Women Ministries providing support and relief for Hurricane Florence survivors
Empowering Everyday Women Ministries News
Catastrophic flooding from Florence spread across the Carolinas on Sunday, with roads to Wilmington cut off by the epic deluge and muddy river water swamping entire neighborhoods miles inland.
"Empowering Everyday Women Ministries is praying for and supporting all those impacted by Hurricane Florence," said Dianna Hobbs, Founder of the 501c3 nonprofit organization. "We are honored to be working with outreach partners to provide relief for individuals, families and communities in need.”
“The risk to life is rising with the angry waters,” Gov. Roy Cooper declared as the storm’s death toll climbed to 17.
About 740,000 homes and businesses remained without power in the Carolinas, and utilities said some service could be out for weeks.
Empowering Everyday Women launches several initiatives annually to aid individuals and families in need worldwide. Through generous donations from supporters, the organization has been able to assist more people in 2018.
“Years ago, when God first birthed the ministry in my spirit, I honestly did not know all the ways He would make for us to blossom into a force for global change,” wrote Hobbs on Instagram recently.
She said the focus of the ministry is “on changing lives through the Gospel and providing practical resources for families.”
On the organization’s website, an appeal is being made to pray for Hurricane Florence survivors and sow seeds “to help boost our efforts to be the hands and feet of Jesus to all those in need.”
