Looking for a podcast? Christianity today recommends 12 for your summer listening list

Christianity Today has recommended 12 podcasts for summer listening and it features authors Chrystal Evans Hurst, Dianna Hobbs, Malcolm Gladwell and more.

The magazine, founded by the late Billy Graham, is highlighting online broadcasts that it says will “entertain,” as well as “spark your faith, and engage your brain.”

Hobbs, award-winning Founder of Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, who launched “Your Daily Cup of Inspiration” podcast in 2016, reacted to the news on her official Facebook page.

“I'm thankful that Christianity Today has recommended my podcast, Your Daily Cup of Inspiration, to their reader community. I feel honored to sow divinely-inspired words of inspiration into the hearts of women worldwide on a daily basis,” she said.

Her web-based broadcast is a companion to her blog of the same name, which has been named one of the “Top 100 blogs for Christian women” by Women’s Bible Café.

“Our team is so pleased about the volume of listeners who are being blessed in North America, Africa, Europe, Austrailia and Asia by the daily podcast from Dianna Hobbs,” said publicist Amy Bertinelli. “The reception has exceeded our projections and expectations, and the numbers keep growing by the hundreds every day. People are joyfully and openly receiving her powerful messages of hope in Christ.”

Hobbs also took special occasion to thank Daily Cup listener, Iris Bryant, for submitting the podcast for consideration. “I love my Daily Cup community. You guys are the best in the world. Your consistent support, love, and loyalty is a blessing to me,” she wrote.

The 41-year-old encourager of women also admonished her followers to “Check out some of the other awesome podcasts listed.”

Chrystal’s Chronicles,” the podcast of Chrystal Evans Hurst, author of She’s Still There and sister of Bible teacher Priscilla Shirer, “encourages women to fulfill their potential in Christ and welcomes special guests—most recently, Bishop T.D. Jakes’ daughter, Sarah Jakes-Roberts.

Revisionist History,” the podcast of Malcolm Gladwell, staff writer for The New Yorker and author of The Tipping Point, contextualizes history by reinterpreting past events, people and ideas to, perhaps, learn something new.
