Ahead of the release of her new album Open Heaven, coming April 27, 2018, worship leader Maranda Curtis is receiving a major co-sign from Grammy-winning psalmist Tasha Cobbs Leonard.

In a Friday, April 5, 2018 Instagram post, the “I’m Getting Ready” singer said Curtis’s music “is the sound of heaven,” lavishing her friend with love and praise.

“It’s a sound that prophetically uplifts, encourages and heals!” wrote Cobbs Leonard, captioning an image of Curtis’s newly release single, “Open Heaven.”

She added, “Thank you for being you! For being consistent! For hearing... and releasing what you hear! Thank you for not being moved by the noise... but instead hearing the sound!”

Curtis, who lives by the mantra, "worship is not a matter of skill, it's a lifestyle," has also released her single, "Nobody Like You Lord,” from her forthcoming album.

Curtis says of the soon-coming project, "You'll hear jazz, traditional and churchy ballads ... all the sounds I grew up singing. When they listen, I want people to know God is the God of miracles."

The worship leader at Bishop TD Jakes’ The Potter’s House of Dallas church caught the attention of the masses with her debut album The Maranda Experience Volume 1, which landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart.

Open Heaven was recorded live in Delaware. The album is available for preorder now.
