Prayers Up: TIME Magazine features parents of children killed in school shootings

Its’ a striking, sobering and simultaneously heartbreaking TIME Magazine cover that shakes you out of your oblivion and reminds you to pray for the parents who have lost a child to a school shooting.

As of publication, the cover that has not yet been published features the headline, "The world moves on and you don't."

According to Gun Violence Archive, in 2018 alone, there have been 323 mass shootings, meaning four or more people were shot or killed, not including the gunman.

The February 14 deadly school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida left 17 dead.

It is now known as the deadliest high school shooting in history, which filled citizens with anger and indignation, triggering a huge response. Widespread walkouts, protests, and student-led anti-gun violence movements were reported across the nation.
