Been Praying and Waiting for an Extended Period? Then this is your word

I had all four of my children before I turned 30.

In my twenties, having a house full of tiny tots – none of them more than three years apart – made for a noisy, chaotic home. That didn’t bother me, since I was used to noise. Coming from a huge family of seven boys and seven girls, there was never a quiet moment growing up in the Brinson house.

When the Hobbs children – Kyla, Kaiah, Kedar, and Kaleb – were small and would tear through rooms and hallways laughing, screaming, banging on things and essentially climbing the walls, it felt like my childhood home.

Our little Kaleb, though, was the most hyper one. You should have seen me chasing him, trying to keep him from severely injuring himself! One of his favorite things to do was pull his diaper off and run around stark naked.

That boy.

How in the world are toddlers’ little legs so fast, man?

Well, I pretty much let the rowdy bunch run free if they weren’t at risk of harming themselves. I was what you call more of a laid-back parent. I still am. But there were a few non-negotiable ground rules I had: “You never hit your sister or brother” and “You always wait your turn.” I meant it, too.

As you know, youngsters are notoriously impatient and love getting their way right away, so waiting was a challenging lesson that needed to be reinforced numerous times.

And now, after nearly 25 years of marriage and almost as many years parenting, the kids are older – 23, 20, 18, and 16, respectively. Each one is incredibly talented, and I see how the wait your turn lesson still applies but in a different way. They each have visions and goals for their futures, but I consistently reinforce for them, “Everything you desire won’t come to you immediately, even if it is the will of God for your life.”

In the Kingdom of God, being fruitful is the goal, and that will happen if you keep the faith and put in the work.

Even so, my friend, God has built waiting into the process of character development. He tests you by prolonging the timeline. If you can cling to hope, remain steadfast in faith, and continue doing the right things despite delays, your turn will surely come.

Someone reading has been waiting a long time for your season of release, and God is saying, it’s here. It’s your turn. Now is the time. Doors are opening. Increase is manifesting. Long held dreams and visions are being fulfilled, because you waited your turn.

Don’t just read this; receive it. God is saying to somebody, ‘You’ve got now—not next—but now. Your season of release is already here. The wait is over.’

Consider David who had been anointed by God to lead Israel. For an extended season, he had to wait while Saul occupied what would eventually become David’s promised seat on the throne.

In 2 Samuel 5:2, just before David was crowned king, the Israelites told him, “In the past, when Saul was our king, you were the one who really led the forces of Israel. And the Lord told you, ‘You will be the shepherd of my people Israel. You will be Israel’s leader’” (NLT).

For years, David put in the work with only a Word as a motivation. He had no tangible evidence and faced lots of adversity. Yet, David waited his turn and lived to see his day of manifestation. Somebody reading has been waiting and working, and God is saying, “Your day of manifestation is here because you didn’t give up.”

Receive that word.

If, perhaps, you are still waiting, don’t faint. You’re almost there. Believe no matter what!

Today, I’m stirring two verses found in Psalm 27:13-14 KJV into your cup of inspiration: “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, take this word to heart. And know that you will unlock your breakthrough by remaining steadfast, being faith-filled, and always persevering.

Now let’s pray.

God, thank You for sending confirmation that my turn, my set time, my season of reaping will not pass me by. I anticipate manifestation, for You cannot lie. Thank You in advance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
