I was talking to one of my younger brothers on the phone yesterday. “You sound so good,” he sai

Years ago, my husband Kenya and I were at the grocery store without enough money to buy food for our family. It was a difficult financial season.

The two of us were walking through the aisles, picking things up off the shelves, examining the prices, then putting the items back after realizing we didn’t have enough money for all that we needed. This went on for quite a while, and we were growing frustrated with the process of trying to figure out what we could purchase on our meager budget just to get through the week.

No matter what we tried to come up with, there was no scenario where we had sufficient funds to satisfy our children’s hungry bellies. It was a horrible feeling.

Absolutely horrible.

Man, I still remember what that felt like all these years later. You should have seen me trying to remain calm while examining the shelves and praying silently.

“God, we need You to show up for us and help us,” I whispered my desperate plea.

Just then, a person who knew me and Kenya walked in, greeted us, and handed us $50. They didn’t ask any questions. All they said was, “God told me to give this to you.”

Baby, I could have broken down crying right in that supermarket! What they gave us was just enough to get us through the week. They had no idea how much we needed that money, but God did, and He came through for us.

Won’t God always come through?

God is about to come through for you in an unexpected way!

He certainly came through for Elisha and the 100 hungry people that were with him in 2 Kings 4:42–44.

Scripture says, one day a man brought Elisha a sack of fresh grain and twenty loaves of barley bread. Elisha told his servant, “Give it to the people so they can eat.”

Shocked at the command, the servant responded, “What? Feed a hundred people with only this?”

Have you ever had an “only this” moment in your life, when what you had in your hand wasn’t sufficient to meet the need? Well, those “only this” moments have a way of turning into “only God” moments.

And somebody reading is about to get an “only God” breakthrough! You will be left rejoicing and shouting, only God could have done it. Only God could have fixed it. Only God could have made the way. Only God could have worked that miracle.

Friend, get ready for your “only God” breakthrough! I am confident that it will come. I know it. I feel it in my spirit.

In our scriptural text today, we see that instead of Elisha focusing on what they didn’t have—enough bread—he focused on what they did have which was a word from the Lord! God had already told the prophet, “Everyone will eat, and there will even be some left over!”

And you know what happened? When the servant gave the little bit of bread he had to the people, sure enough, there was plenty for everybody and then some left over. That just gets me excited!

2 Kings 4:44 says, “It happened just as the Lord had promised.”

It was only God!

Friend, when you have a need in your life but not enough supply, that just means God is about to step in and supply your needs.

You see, He loves to flex His power and turn not enough into more than enough. He makes the impossible become possible. He turns hopeless cases into case studies in the miraculous.

I know because He has done it for me repeatedly. Doctors are still scratching their heads and asking, how in the world did she recover? How in the world is she walking and talking? How in the world is she in her right mind? How in the world is she not six feet under?

God is about to leave others in awe in your situation, too. A breakthrough is coming. Oh, yes, it is.

Jesus said in Luke 18:27 NIV—which is what I’m stirring into today’s cup of inspiration— “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

As you drink down the contents of your cup, know that God is about to do what man says is impossible, what circumstances say can’t be done, and what doubt and fear say will never happen.

So, keep believing even in the face of unfavorable circumstances, and watch what the Lord does.

Right now, I speak a prophetic promise over you that your soon-to-be testimony will be two words: Only God. And it will happen just as the Lord promised.
