Renowned Grammy award-winning producer, rapper, and songwriter Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins has announced the formation of his new record label, Alienz Alive. The label, rooted in faith and community, aims to nurture artists and promote music that honors the Lord.

According to the label's website, Jerkins and his team are dedicated to "building community, developing artists, fostering dialogue, and encouraging storytelling that is honest, pursues truth, and glorifies God."

The label's initial lineup features five multifaceted artists: Jon Keith, GAWVI, IMRSQD, Alex Jean, and TJ Carroll. On Friday, June 7, Jerkins introduced these artists through a montage showcasing their latest singles.

“When I first thought about launching a new company, I knew I had to do something that reflected my faith," Jerkins stated. "What's crazy, and people might not know this; I was rapping in church as a kid. I was also featured on Kirk Franklin's ‘Revolution’ so this is a full circle moment for me because now I'm doing something revolutionary by launching this label."

"Alienz Alive is a collaborative community of creatives that are Christ-centered where artist development is key," he continued. "We encourage our artists to use their gifts to uplift and inspire. Sonically speaking, the influences are Hip Hop, R&B, and Indie Rock. As long as it glorifies God and it's dope, all are welcome.”

At the end of May, Jerkins celebrated the debut of new music from his artists. Alex Jean released his inspirational single "I Need Faith," while IMRSQD shared the cautionary track "Don't Do Molly." Jon Keith delivered the upbeat pop hit "BAGS," and GAWVI released his first solo track in three years, "Into the Atmostfear," with another track, "Doors Down," recently released. TJ Carroll also contributed with his trap-influenced song "I Rather," one of several tracks Carroll has released through Alienz Alive since early 2023.

Jerkins, who has produced hits for Beyoncé and written songs for legends like Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson, brings decades of experience to Alienz Alive. He officially established the label in 2022 and remains deeply involved in developing each artist and managing daily operations.

This initiative marks a significant milestone for Jerkins, blending his profound musical expertise with his commitment to faith, aiming to inspire and uplift through Christ-centered music.
