Living a blessed life: Tamron Hall talks marriage, motherhood and faith

Journalist Tamron Hall is living a blessed life! With a supportive husband, gorgeous new baby boy, and thriving career, God has smiled on this woman of faith.
But she wasn’t all smiles after walking away from her post as an NBC “Today” show anchor in February 2017. “I leaned on my friends, my family. I cried,” she tells PEOPLE in a new feature.
These days, those tears are all dried up as a joyful Hall, 48, embraces marital bliss to hubby, Steven Greener, whom she calls her “deepest, greatest, love.”
She first announced their marriage and pregnancy in March.
Adding to their joy is their son, Moses—a first child for both. The beaming wife and mom says she and Greener have “tried to combine our lives”—especially when it comes to faith.
“He’s Jewish,” explains Hall, who was raised by her southern Baptist mom.
Out of respect to Greener’s faith traditions, the couple had “a bris here at the house,” which is a Jewish circumcision ceremony.
“My mom nearly passed out,” Hall recalls. “We had both grandparents on each side there, and he’s going to Texas to have a Christening or a Confirmation at my mom’s southern Baptist church.”
Hall adds, “We’ve just combined our life experience, and we want to teach him tradition.”
The beloved media personality has been very open about the importance of her faith in the past. "It's everything to me, because we face things that we cannot explain," she said in a previous interview with Good Morning Texas. "I'm able to step out on faith because I believe I am protected."
When facing uncertainty, Hall knows she is not alone. "I believe that God is watching me, and my mother reminds me all the time, 'God did not bring you this far to let you go,'" she continued. "So whatever the unknown variable is, I believe that God is taking care of it, and I'm meant to learn a lesson from it, but it is not meant to break me."
The unbreakable and resilient broadcaster is now gearing up to start another new chapter in her life with the fall debut of “Tamron Hall.”
Her nationally syndicated daytime talk show on CBS is set to premiere September 9 and will broadcast from New York, offering a mix of live and taped shows.
