Actress Taraji P. Henson’s Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation is partnering with the Kate Spade Foundation to place the pods on HBCU campuses.

The Golden Globe winner is set to star as Shug Avery in Blitz Bazawule’s “The Color Purple,” a forthcoming Warner Bros. film adapted from the Tony-winning Broadway musical—an adaptation of Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.

You may be able to pray away some things, but a serious mental health issue isn’t one of them according to Academy Award-nominated actress, Taraji P. Henson. She has launched The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation to get rid of the stigma surrounding mental health in the black community.
