Melanie Pratt (L), Founder of Halo Management and Dianna Hobbs (R) Indie Gospel Recording artist team up to advance the Gospel through music.

Acclaimed Christian blogger and women’s ministry leader Dianna Hobbs has released her anticipated single, “Don’t Know Why,” and announced a new partnership with Halo Management. Known for expertise, experience, and trustworthiness in artist booking, Halo is led by Stellar Award-winning Gospel Announcer of the Year, Melanie Pratt. The single is now available across all major digital platforms.

“Don’t Know Why” is a heartfelt worship anthem that captures Hobbs' deep awe of God’s love and grace, offering a powerful testimony of His saving power during a life-threatening ordeal.

“After a rare allergic reaction to an antibiotic in 2019 resulted in a ministroke, nearly 30 seizures, and permanent brain damage, I thought my music and ministry had come to an end,” said Hobbs. “To be able to sing again, especially after the medical crisis altered my tongue and vocal cords, is nothing short of a miracle. Partnering with Halo Management, an organization that operates in integrity and with excellence, is an incredible blessing—one that I cannot express enough gratitude for.”

In an official statement, Pratt expressed her thoughts on the new partnership: “Halo is deeply honored to stand beside Dianna Hobbs as she reemerges with something far greater than just new music. Her latest song, ‘Don’t Know Why,’ is a powerful testimony, answering its own question through her story of survival and triumph. After overcoming a traumatic brain injury, Dianna is a living testament to God’s boundless power. We are thrilled to represent her as she steps forward victoriously, sharing His truth and greatness through both her music and ministry.”

Hobbs and Pratt first met over a decade ago in Nashville, Tennessee at the Stellar Awards, where both received a Stellar Women of Gospel Award, honoring outstanding female professionals in the Gospel music industry. Reflecting on their connection, Hobbs said, “We had no idea back then that God had already ordained this partnership, to amplify the Gospel message through music in this season.”

Written by Hobbs and produced by her brother, Andre Brinson of Out-D-Ordinary Productions, “Don’t Know Why” was mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Jon Blass (India Arie, Le’Andria Johnson, Ricky Dillard) and mastered by Dave Harris of Studio B Mastering (Maranda Curtis, Anthony Brown & group therAPy, Jonathan Nelson). Hobbs brings her fresh soulful worship sound to the indie Gospel scene.

Raised in Buffalo, NY, and deeply rooted in the Black Pentecostal church tradition, Hobbs has been a dynamic voice in Christian ministry, whether through preaching, singing, radio, media, podcasting, or writing. Her ministry is marked by transparency and authenticity, resonating with audiences around the globe.

Dianna Hobbs’ new release marks a significant moment in Gospel music, promising to inspire and uplift with her signature soprano voice and transformative message of hope. Her unparalleled ability to merge artistry and ministry invites listeners on a journey of faith, perseverance, and renewal.
