Tamron Hall’s self-titled talk show keeps climbing in the ratings, and we are so happy for our fierce, fun, and fabulous sister in faith.
The 48-year-old, who entered into an already crowded talk space in syndication, has managed to break through the noise and continues attracting more viewers. From last week to this week, her show moved ahead 11% to a 1.0 and grew 33% among women 25-54 to a 0.4, according to Nielsen Media Research.
So what is it that draws us to her chat fest every day? Here are 5 reasons we can’t stop watching.
Her faith: Raised in the Baptist Church, Tamron has not strayed from her faith roots. Even before this major door opened, after she left NBC “Today,” she said, “I leaned on my mom, and my mother has the saying, ‘God didn’t bring you this far to let you go.’ And so at some point I could not just keep regurgitating the line leap of faith — I had to believe it.” The way she landed on her feet, daily reminds us that faith produces positive results.
Her personality: Known for her big smile and hearty laugh, Tamron has both a silly and serious side. She has a soft side too and knows how to effortlessly display each facet of her personality in perfect balance. She’s not afraid to poke fun at herself and crack up laughing, let her vulnerable side through and wipe away tears, and be more stern when covering difficult subject matter or digging for the truth.
Her fashion, hair, and makeup: The fashionista stays on the cutting edge of fashion and is one of the sharpest dressers on daytime television. Not to mention, her hair and makeup is flawless every day. Tamron, however, doesn’t take all the credit for her eye-catching looks. She gives it up big time for her glam squad: wardrobe stylist Eric Neimand, wardrobe supervisor Ashley Miller, makeup artist Tenelle Veira, and hairstylist Johnny Wright.
Her hard-hitting topics: The broadcast journalist sometimes enjoys light-hearted discussions with her audience— that she regularly engages and gets feedback from—but she does not shy away from difficult-to-discuss, hard-hitting topics either. Recently, she opened up about her struggles with infertility and IVF and offered advice to others still hoping to become moms.
Her relatability: The Luling, Texas native says, “I’m the girl from the underdog background. But that doesn’t make me extraordinary. That makes me like my neighbors who are also the girls and guys next door.” Though Tamron is in fact one of the biggest celebrities in the world, she is quick to remind her audience that she’s just like them. Her downhome personality and girl-next-door charm is winning over hearts and minds one viewer at a time.
