Christian power couple David and Tamela Mann to release new music and book

Written By Sharon // Books

Everybody’s favorite Christian power couple, David and Tamela Mann, is celebrating 30 years of wedded bliss by strengthening the marriages of other people.

Fans and supporters are eager to read helpful marital tips in their new book, Us Against the World: Our Secrets to Love, Marriage, and Family, out November 13, and listen to the Mann’s new musical project, Us Against The World: The Love Project, releasing November 9.

In their new memoir, the NAACP Image Award winners candidly share an inspiring, funny, and up-close look at their lives while offering encouragement and practical advice for building a strong relationship, marriage and family.

Ever since the two were key members of Kirk Franklin’s platinum-selling group, “The Family,” longtime supporters have been begging the duo to release a joint album. That time has finally come. Their 10-song musical collaboration—with 6 out of the 10 tracks being duets—perfectly set the tone for the memoir.

For years, the funny, down-to-earth pair have been sharing their marriage success secrets. “We like each other,” said the lovebirds in a 2016 Fox LA interview.

The couple, who played father and daughter, Mr. Brown and Cora, in Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns” stage play, are all about modeling family happiness and inspiring hope in others.

“We’re in this together,” the Grammy® Award-winning singer said of her tight bond with her spouse.

With the proliferation of negative stories about the breakup of marriages, infidelity and volatility, it’s nice to see a Christian couple serving as the definitive model for how to represent Christ and love each other well at the same time.
