After recently going on a profanity-laced tirade against Christianity, its church infrastructure and some of its leadership, GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel singer Le’Andria Johnson is seeking redemption.

In a social media statement, which includes a video retraction, the Sunday Best winner wrote, “I offended many people with my previous video post. That is undeniable, and I accept full responsibility for what I communicated out of frustration.”

She added, “After serious personal reflection, I recognized that through my being offended, I have caused offense.”

Two videos of the 35-year-old former pastor went viral and caused a storm of controversy when she filmed herself smoking, swearing and personally attacking Pastor Marvin Winans, a legendary gospel singer and pastor of Perfecting Church in Detroit, MI.

The apology of the popular songstress, who has a well-documented history of alcoholism, relationship turmoil and a love-hate relationship with the Christian church, comes on the heels of being dropped as a gospel act from the 2018 Essence Music Festival.

In a separate video published elsewhere online, the “Jesus” singer offered a special apology to Winans and his entire congregation.
