Ciara gives an inspiring speech that every woman and girl needs to hear [VIDEO]

There are spoken words that motivate us to do more, inspire us to aim higher and remind us that anything is possible with hard work, faith and God’s favor.
The acceptance speech given by GRAMMY® Award-winning singer-songwriter, Ciara, at the 2019 Black Girls Rock! Award show, did all these things.
“It means so much to me for so many reasons,” she said of the “Rock Star Award” presented to her by international model, Winnie Harlow. “As a little girl I always dreamt of moments like this, and I want to focus on all the young girls in the audience watching, because you are the future and I see my younger self in a lot of you.”

As the wife of NFL athlete, Russell Wilson, and mother of two, stood on stage in a head-to-toe sequined gown, the next generation of black actresses, singers, doctors, lawyers, and executives gazed at the glowing star adoringly.

Ciara, 33, continued, “If I could write a letter to my younger self, here are some of the words of wisdom I would tell her: Little Ciara from Decatur, Georgia, be patient. Everything in life will go exactly how it’s supposed to go. At times, you will feel like an outcast—that you don’t fit in. But you will discover that being your own clique will be your strongest attribute.”

The audience applauded loudly, before the Christian powerhouse went on to say, “In life you’re going to face many challenges, many moments of adversity. There are going to be a lot of successes and some failures too. Those moments are going to create your character, build your integrity, and they will become your beauty marks.”
The CEO of Beauty Marks Entertainment, who has had her fair share of ups and downs, successes and failures—both private and public—has gracefully bounced back to remind youngsters that “all is possible because of God’s grace.”

Ciara concluded her heartfelt speech by thanking her fans for supporting her career, adding, “to every girl listening out there, you will forever be empowered by knowing that no one—absolutely no one—can close a door that God has opened for you.”
