Our good sister Dorian Hunter can throw down in the kitchen, and she loves the Lord with all her heart and soul. Can it get any better than that?

EEW Magazine Online is celebrating the faith-filled chef becoming the winner of Season 10 of MasterChef.

Hunter, from Cartersville, Georgia, is making history as the first black woman to win the competition, and she is taking home the $250,000 cash prize. Her scrumptious competition-winning menu impressed the judges big time!

Her menu included seared sea scallops with cornmeal tuille, sweet corn puree and pickled Swiss chard. Her entree consisted of Applewood smoked short rib with potato and horseradish gratin. For dessert she whipped an award-worthy lemon blueberry tart with blueberry and cream cheese filling, toasted meringue and pecan crust.

Lord have mercy. Who’s hungry?

In a recent Facebook Live video, the gifted cook chatted with her social media followers about the surreal opportunity MasterChef has afforded her. She also took occasion to encourage viewers by telling them they, too, can experience special blessings if they are willing to do what she did and “just step back” and “allow God to do what He is supposed to do.”

The southern-style cook, originally from Canton, OH, who has cried many tears of joy, advised her Internet family. “You’ve got to get out of the way for God to move,” she said. “Just trust Him, and know that He’s got you, and He’s not going to allow you to fall. He’s not.”

Hunter was named the winner by executive producer Gordon Ramsay and fellow judges Aaron Sanchez and Joe Bastianich on the show’s 200th episode.

For those considering giving up on their dreams after waiting many years to see any kind of harvest, in an interview with Parade Hunter said, “It is never too late. Despite what your past is, it is all building up for your future.”

She also said, every trial and test “all worked toward my good at the end of the day.”
