He Turned It: Dianna Hobbs says ‘God did it again’ after serious health emergency landed her in ICU

Dianna Hobbs was confined to ICU two months ago following a mini stroke and more than 20 seizures, but she has not allowed the scary experience to shake her faith.
The women’s ministry leader, 42, shared a powerful new Facebook post Monday after weeks of social media silence, testifying of a miracle God worked for her — and transparently sharing the emotional battle with post-traumatic stress resulting from the harrowing ordeal.
“I am so thankful for my incredible team keeping you updated for me. I have been completely unplugged for over two months. I needed that time,” wrote the award-winning founder of EEW Magazine Online. “Sorry I wasn't able to say something sooner, but I’m doing awesome. God smacked the enemy again and made me whole, despite Satan’s best efforts to shut me down for good.”
In early August, Hobbs’ ministry team announced that, following a successful hysterectomy surgery to treat two benign conditions—Adenomyosis and Fibroids—the popular encourager faced complications and was admitted into the intensive care unit at a Buffalo, NY hospital. The new health challenge came just two years after she experienced a supernatural miracle when two autoimmune diseases progressed too far for doctors to give her further help or hope.
The God Did It author said on social media that right after she was released from the intensive care unit, still unable to use her left side or speak without a slur, she took a step of faith.
Describing what happened, the global ambassador and philanthropist wrote, “Right in the presence of my family members who had so graciously flown in from out of town to be by my side, God responded to my faith and granted me a supernatural turnaround. I remember asking with slurred speech if there was a walker anywhere in the hospital room. Now, mind you, my left side was weak, but my faith was strong as ever.”
Hobbs continued, “My kindhearted family members, despite their concerns about me and hospital protocols, found a walker in the closet and helped me up onto it. My left leg and arm at the time had all the consistency and strength of a wet noodle. Without them helping me, I would have crumbled to the floor. But I believed God anyway.”
That belief paid off big time. The wife of 21 years and mother of four children said, once she was using the walker with assistance, her faith “grew even more,” and she took things a step further.
“I asked my mother to take the walker away. By human standards, this was a foolish request, but I know in Whom I believe!” said the first lady of City Church Buffalo.
“Let me tell you what happened next: the power of God took over my body and my whole left side got strong and steady,” she said. “My limbs, which had not been responding to my brain, had no choice but to respond to the voice of God. My speech, that had been slurred, no longer was. I could suddenly, perfectly articulate words. I raised my left arm and stretched my fingers for the first time since my medical emergency had stolen my strength and some of my cognitive brain function. There was no more shaking. No weakness. My arm was stable and so was my leg. Everything I couldn’t do moments earlier, I was instantly able to do.”
Hundreds on social media have been rejoicing over the testimony and telling Hobbs how happy they are for her healing.
A follower named Christian Gray wrote in response to Hobbs’ testimony, “O my God! Hallelujah!!!!! What a beautiful testimony....God is faithful! Reading this gave me chills and I wanna just scream out thank You God.”
She added, “I was so saddened when I heard about what happened to you....But God! I love you Dianna and I will continue to keep you in my prayers. You are very inspiring and I’m excited for the greatness in you.”
Another woman named Laurilee Sprauve wrote, “YAYYY!!!💜💜 I thought of you just this morning D! To God be the glory! You said it best ‘God did it again, and I am forever grateful and in awe of His amazing grace.’”
Sprauve continued her excited post, adding, “So thankful for your healing, stay in touch when you can, it’s just great seeing you in the social realm again (happy dance).”

Hobbs, who touches people the world over with her inspirational podcast and Top 100 blog for women of faith—Your Daily Cup of Inspiration—promised that she would give all the details soon.
“I am still easing my way back into regular activities,” she said in the post that was fittingly shared on the first day of fall, a new season, which is also her oldest son Kedar’s sixteenth birthday according to a new blog post titled, It’s the start of a new season.
Even things are all better now, Hobbs, who struggled to maintain her appetite and battled extreme anxiety once returning home, is not rushing back into everything—not yet.
“I have been eating more and my weight has stabilized, thank God. I am just starting to exercise a little, but I am taking things slowly. Thank you to everyone giving me space to gradually resume some semblance of normalcy,” she said.
