If you think too small, you won’t take advantage of the big opportunities or possess the great things God has for you.
If you are ready to believe the Lord for big things and stop fear from robbing you of the blessings already set aside for you, there are 7 scriptures you need to meditate on.
Before we get into these specific verses, be sure your heart is open to receive blessings, unlike the leaders of the children of Israel in Numbers 13. Do you remember when Moses chose 12 men to spy out the Promised Land, Canaan?
Even though God told these men the territory already belong to them, once they infiltrated the place, they were scared of the giants. Thanks to fear, instead of focusing on the abundant harvest that was right before their eyes, these men came back to Moses with a negative report. They described themselves as “grasshoppers” in their own eyes.
Only two of the ten spies, Joshua and Caleb, believed that although the opponent was big, their God was bigger!
Sad to say, the negative mentality of the majority kept everyone from making the word of God a reality. Therefore, it took the Israelites much longer than necessary to possess their land of promise. Don’t delay your breakthrough because of a small mentality and lack of faith.
Whether you are challenged by people, temptations, or limiting thoughts, these 7 verses will help you rise above the obstacles and claim your victory.
“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)
“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
“Jesus looked at them intently and said, ‘Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.’” (Matthew 19:26)
“I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” (Mark 11:23-24)
“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)
“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” (Philippians 2:13)
“Each time he said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
There you have it! These 7 scriptures—if you read, believe them in your heart and apply them to your life—will stretch you and empower you to aim higher and achieve more for the glory of God.
