Digital Evangelist: How Chilli of TLC shares her Christian faith online

Rozonda Thomas, best known as Chilli, is a member of the best-selling group TLC, and she is also a member of the body of Christ.
The 48-year-old Christian performer, beloved for hits like “Waterfalls,” “No Scrubs,” and “Unpretty,” is in love with Jesus and unafraid to broadcast it everywhere, and she regularly uses the Internet to witness to others.
“I know it's hard out here in this nutty world, but don't give up! Stay in the Word, stay in prayer,” writes the digital evangelist. “God is forever present.”
“Teach me Jesus. I want to be more like You in all of my ways, and through You it is possible,” says the single mom in another post on Instagram, her preferred outlet for sharing Bible verses and encouragement.
Sharing Psalm 25:5 NKJV, Thomas prays, “Lead me in Your truth and teach me. You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.”
The VH1 “Girls Cruise” star is a member of Granite Bay Seventh-Day Adventist Church in California, where her pastor is Doug Batchelor, president of “Amazing facts,” a television program that explores the Bible.
The star, who heavily focuses on keeping the Sabbath Day holy, is known for her age-defying appearance, smooth skin, and radiant glow. But it turns out she isn’t just glowing because she abstains from alcohol and eats healthy. The light of Christ shines through Thomas from the inside out.
The dancer with moves to rival performers half her age doesn’t dance around the issue of faith, despite a world that often rejects Bible teaching. Thomas is clearly on a mission to let the light and love Christ shine on her followers.
She recently posted a message on Instagram, saying:
“Satan’s target: your mind
Satan’s weapon: lies
Satan’s purpose: to make you ignorant of God’s will
Your defense: the inspired word of God!”
She also adds a caption, writing, “Stay in the word of God because the enemy is NOT worth our lives.”
Despite Thomas’s busy tour schedule keeping her on the road a lot, she makes it a point to spend time with God and “diligently seek” Him based on instructions in Hebrews 11:6—a verse she also shared.
The enthusiastic believer tells her fans that seeking God should be done “not just once a week or a couple of holidays in the year.”
She contends that, “It’s every day that we should seek the Lord, study His word, be one with Him, and have faith in Him with our whole heart.”
It’s nice to see a woman with major accolades and huge name recognition publicly proclaim the name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ.
