Black History Month is here again, and every year, EEW Magazine Online gets excited to celebrate the achievements of African Americans and recognize their central role in U.S. history.

This momentous occasion grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of famed historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month.
