Tessica Brown, a 40-year-old Louisiana-based mother of five turned Internet sensation, went through a painful ordeal after mistakenly putting Gorilla Glue spray in her hair, but something good came out of it.

After millions learned of her unfortunate plight, they donated more than twenty thousand dollars to Brown’s GoFundMe account – funds she says she intends to use for good purposes.

“I’m going to pick three families out of St. Bernard Parish to help out,” said Brown in an interview with Entertainment Tonight during which she confessed to being shocked by the kindness of strangers.

The woman forever known as Gorilla Glue Girl, who lives in Violet, Saint Bernard Parish, Louisiana, also shared plans to buy a wig to cover her damaged scalp as she heals from the more than month-long saga to remove the adhesive.

Despite having a lengthy recovery journey ahead, still, the social media sensation’s larger focus seems to be on others, and we absolutely love to see that.

“I don’t even know who to pick, but I’m going to pick three people, three families,” said Brown, who is grateful for all the love and to finally be able to run her fingers through her hair for the first time since January after runing out of Got2B hair spray and substituting Gorilla Glue spray.

Though many struggles came from that one bad decision, once Brown told her story on social media to seek help on February 4, 2021, many blessings also stemmed from that costly mistake. In addition to having an entirely new support network and endless opportunities ahead, she now has resources to distribute to families in need of help and hope.

As Brown plans to pay it forward, she has not forgotten to show appreciation to those who have helped her throughout this unfortunate process. One of her biggest helpers is Beverly Hills surgeon, Dr. Michael Obeng, who completed the four-hour procedure to liberate Brown’s scalp free of charge, using medical-grade adhesive remover, aloe vera, olive oil and acetone.

In a video of the surgery, Brown was seen weeping, finger-raking her hair, and giving the Internet closure after people worldwide followed her story obsessively.

“I didn’t think it was going to ever, ever go this far,” said Brown of her newfound fame which she doesn’t take for granted.

“Over this weekend, I’m dedicating myself to thanking everybody,” she said—even those who did not support her.

“I’m thanking everybody, because I’m good. I’ve got hair. You know what I’m saying? I’m good,” added Brown whose acts of kindness will be done away from the spotlight as she takes a much-needed social media break.
