For many Christians, “Have a blessed day” is simply a slogan, a common phrase often used in lieu of saying goodbye. But it can be way more than that if you read and apply Scripture to your life!
The word blessed comes from the Greek word Makarios meaning happy, fortunate, lengthy, or enlarged, and it describes the sort of happiness that comes directly from God’s favor. Who doesn’t want that?
If you desire more natural and spiritual blessings as well as increased favor, EEW Magazine Online recommends that you check out these 6 powerful Scriptures.
#1 Obey the command of Jeremiah 17:7-8 to be confident in God.
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
#2 Confess Numbers 6:24-26 over your life daily.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
#3 Include Psalm 20:4 in your prayers for God to prosper your plans.
“May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.”
#4 Quote Psalm 34:8 as a reminder that blessings come when God is your refuge.
“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”
#5 Jot down Psalm 31:19 to encourage your faith for manifestation of blessings.
“How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.”
#6 Add Psalm 119:2 to your favorites list to keep you focused on the link between right-standing with God and blessings.
“Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.”
Listen, even though we don’t serve God just to get things from Him, there is absolutely nothing wrong with longing to see His hand of blessing moving in your circumstances.
God wants to favor you and see to it that all your days, even the hard and rocky ones, are filled with His choicest blessings!
