Ciara and Russell Wilson donate one million meals to Seattle food banks amid Coronavirus crisis

Individuals, nonprofits and charities across America are pitching in to support citizens being negatively impacted by COVID-19.
Christian couple Ciara and Russell Wilson is doing their part to fight hunger by making a generous donation of one million meals to their local food bank, Seattle Food Lifeline, to feed Seattle’s needy families.
Wilson, a quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks football team appeared in a video alongside his R&B singer wife. Both expressed their love and concern for those who have lost jobs due to the pandemic.
“Obviously this coronavirus pandemic is changing the world second by second, minute by minute,” said the NFL player. “People are losing loved ones, the elderly and the young, and people in between. People are losing jobs. What we've decided to do is partner up with our local food bank in Seattle.”
Ciara chimed in, saying, "We want to encourage everyone out there to join us in whatever way you can, big or small. Everything makes a difference. Everything we do together makes a difference.”
She added, "Together we will conquer this tough time that we're going through."
The generous pair is known for their philanthropy and helping the community. The two frequently visit sick kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital and work to raises funds to cure pediatric cancer.
The Wilsons teamed with Feeding America which distributes 4.3 billion meals each year through food pantries and meal programs throughout the United States, leading the nation in the fight against hunger.
